What Is Holistic Health?

Holistic health is care that embodies the entire being, mind, body, and soul. Holistic health focuses not just on what is ailing the body, but what could be triggering these ailments from a deeper level. Often times mental challenges, trauma, or stress accumulate in the body and present themselves in a physical way. How do we get to the root of the issue? Deep dive into lifestyle, choices, situations, past and present challenges and issues, current health concerns or recent or old diagnosis plaguing the system (body). When you make the decision to see a Naturopathic Practitioner, or a Holistic Health Provider you're making a choice to go deeper, to dig into the sometimes ugly places to find healing and restoration for a greater overall well-being. How do we start this process? A good practitioner will first send you an in-depth client intake form, which may seem a bit intrusive at first, but is ultimately necessary for the practitioner to fully understand where you are currently at and how best to approach the initial healing phase with you. It's a little intimidating because it is so personal, but is it not also personal to see a modern medical physician? The difference is, a modern medicine physician isn't going to look deep into the underlying issues to find the root cause, often they look only at which symptoms are presenting currently and then prescribe you a pill (pharmaceutical) to alleviate that one symptom. A Natural health provider is going to look at all of it and see what the least invasive treatment option is first, then help with lifestyle modification, custom dietary plans, and supportive natural supplements to allow the body time and resources to heal on its own. We are never taught that we were designed to be able to support and heal ourselves, only that for each ailment we must seek medical care and take whatever they prescribe to us, often leading to a plethora of new health concerns. For instance, high cholesterol, what's given? Statins, then what happens? You start feeling sluggish and having brain fog and no energy, and eventually sometimes, irreversible damage to the brain causing Alzheimer's or Dementia. My question to you is, is it worth it, or would you rather have lasting help with little to no long-term side effects? If your answer is the latter, we're here to help.
